Foundation of ACP Computer Handels GmbH in Vienna

In 1993, the company ACP was founded in Vienna by Stefan Csizy, Gerald Huber, Walter Gsöll, Herbert Sanjath and Gerhard Sanjath with great enthusiasm and extensive know-how. Despite the lack of large capital, the founders' motivation was unwavering.

The alphabet played a decisive role in the choice of name: in order to always be at the top of telephone and business directories, they looked for a name with an A. This is how ACP, which stands for "All Computer Products", came about. Initially, the focus was actually on trading hardware and software. Today, however, ACP offers tailor-made solutions for companies of all sizes and has extensive know-how and service expertise in all areas of IT - from workstation solutions and data centers to business applications and license management. In addition, ACP is continuously expanding its strategic digitalization portfolio to support customers in exploiting optimization potential and discovering new business approaches.

Employees buy-out brings independence

In 2013, the next decisive step for the further development of ACP followed with the employee buyout: ACP's management and employees took over 100% of the company. "The employee buyout was the best solution for ACP. The goals of the employees and the company are the same - everyone is working together to achieve them,"  Rainer Kalkbrener, CEO of ACP, explains. Stefan Csizy, founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ACP, adds: "ACP is part of a tradition of owner management and the buyout has brought us back to where we belong." Since the employee buyout in 2013, ACP has increased its turnover by 50 percent. In the 2017/2018 financial year, it amounted to 465 million euros, an increase of 7 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
